HVAC Rebate Specifications.

To qualify for a rebate, newly installed central air conditioner, central heat pump, or ductless mini split system, efficiency ratings must be a minimum of 15.0 SEER, 12 EER, and 8.5 HSPF.

To qualify for Early Replacement, all the following criteria MUST be met:

  • Existing equipment must be operational.
  • Existing equipment must be less than 25 years old for central systems and less than 20 years old for heat pump systems.
  • Photos, existing system model, and serial numbers must be provided. If any information is not provided, the rebate will be processed as a Replace on Burnout.

The following applies to ALL HVAC rebates:

  • New system efficiency ratings and BTUH will be verified using corresponding AHRI certificate.
  • New system tonnage will be verified using the HVAC Conversion Chart.
  • Model and serial number(s) for each newly installed inside and outside unit must be listed on the contractor invoice.
  • These rebates apply to home improvement or retrofit projects only. Must be a one-for-one replacement.
  • To qualify for rebates, all HVAC equipment must be installed by an HVAC contractor licensed within the state of Texas.

Window Air Conditioner Rebate Specifications.

Newly installed window air conditioner systems must be ENERGY STAR® certified and must meet the minimum efficiency as specified below, otherwise the application will be disqualified.
